The brief

The three "How we work" rows are wide, quiet and mostly empty — the right place to put photography that only shows up when someone reaches for it. Every option below uses the real rows and real copy so it can be judged in place.

All ten are pointer-only by design: the rows are not links, so nothing is hidden behind hover that a reader needs. Touch devices and keyboard users get the rows exactly as they are today, and every option turns itself off under reduced-motion.

Follows the cursor

One frame trails the pointer with a little lag, and leans into the direction you're moving — the faster you sweep, the more it tilts. The calmest of the ten and the one that feels most like a physical object being dragged along.

Fan of three

Three frames spring out from one point at different angles and sizes, like a hand of cards being spread. Overshoots slightly on the way out and settles — the springiest option, and the most obviously "fun".

Peek from the edge

The frame slides in from behind the row's right edge, clipped by the row itself, as though it had been tucked just off the page. The most restrained option — no scaling, no rotation, one slide.

Stack shuffle

Three frames appear as one squared-up stack, then the top one flicks aside to show the next. Keeps shuffling while you stay on the row, so it rewards a longer hover rather than punishing it.

Pop with overshoot

Scales up from nothing at the pointer with a hard spring — past full size, then back. Fast in (180ms), slower out, which is the asymmetry that makes a pop feel snappy rather than bouncy.

Scattered trio, staggered

Three frames at fixed positions and deliberately unequal sizes, arriving 70ms apart. Because the positions are fixed rather than pointer-driven, this is the only multi-image option that can be art-directed per row.

Wipe under the pointer

The frame is already in place and a clip opens under the pointer as it crosses the row, so the image is uncovered rather than added. Sweep back and it closes again — the only option where you control the reveal directly.

Filmstrip up

A strip of three slides up from behind the row's bottom rule, each frame arriving a beat after the last. Because it rises from the rule it already respects the section's structure — the least disruptive of the multi-image options.

Magnetic pair

Two frames drift in from opposite sides of the row and are pulled toward the pointer, one lagging further behind than the other. Softest easing of the ten — nothing snaps, everything glides.

Dealt from the number

The frames deal out of the row's own numeral, as if the "01" were a deck. Ties the reveal to something already on the page instead of appearing from nowhere, and it is the option most obviously in this brand's language — the site already deals cards elsewhere.
