01

Soft-light sheen

The one currently built — a diagonal band in soft-light that sweeps with the tilt. Included for comparison.

02

Matte

No highlight at all. A faint inner edge and a grounded shadow do the work. Uncoated stock.

03

Satin edge

Light catches only the top and left rim, not the face. Suggests a soft coating without a sweep.

04

Spot gloss on the numeral

Sheen masked to the upper-left corner, as if only the number is spot-varnished.

05

Linen texture

A woven micro-texture over the art. Reads as textured card stock rather than anything glossy.

06

Warm ambient

No sweep — a soft directional wash, warm at the top, cool at the base. Light in a room.

07

Foil edge

A thin metallic gradient on the border only, like a foil-stamped rim. Face stays matte.

08

Emboss

Inner shadow top-left, inner light bottom-right. The card looks slightly pressed.

09

Glare on hover only

Dead flat at rest. A single quick glare crosses once on hover, then settles.

10

Paper grain

Fine noise plus a barely-there vignette. The least digital of the set.

11

Brushed

Fine directional streaks running with the tilt. Anisotropic, like a brushed coating rather than a mirror.

12

Pearlescent

A slow hue shift across the face — cool one way, warm the other. Iridescent, not shiny.

13

Soft-touch

Heavier corner radius, a velvety inner shade and no highlight at all. Reads as a laminated soft-touch finish.

14

Gloss on the question

Varnish confined to the lower band where the question sits, so the copy is the thing that catches light.

15

Edge-lit

A bright thin rim on all four sides, like light entering the edge of an acrylic tile. Face stays flat.
